In one of the field trips to a rural area during my medical school training, I was directly involved in the health promotion of a small community; this gave me the opportunity to affect so many lives in such a short span of time — a moment so satisfying that I embraced Family Medicine as a life mission.
I completed my residency at Central Michigan University and Synergy Medical Educational Alliance. Before joining Raleigh Adult Medicine in 2014, I was a primary care physician in Franklinton, North Carolina.
I am married with two young daughters, ages 6 years and 18 months. On weekends, I like to spend time with my family cooking for and watching movies with them. I am trilingual: I speak English, Telugu and Hindi.
Whenever I have a chance, I still participate in medical camps in India to help treat people who have limited or no access to quality care.
